FLAT ROCK (WWJ) -- A Downriver man is jailed on multiple felony charges, including attempted murder, after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's home armed with a shotgun.
It happened Tuesday evening, according to authorities, at Deerfield Estates Mobile Home Park in the 24080 block of Chippewa in Flat Rock.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said 52-year-old Robert William Antosz of Lincoln Park forced entry into the home and fired a shotgun at his 55-year-old ex-girlfriend and a 55-year-old man.
It's alleged that Antosz then chased the man out of the house and fired again, striking the man in the back.
Responding to a call about a shooting, police arrived in time to see Antosz leaving the scene.
There was a short chase and officers arrested Antosz along eastbound Gibraltar Rd. near I-75.
The wounded man was taken by EMS to a hospital where he was treated and survived, officials said. The woman was not hurt.
Antosz has been charged with two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, three counts of Felony Firearm, one count of First-Degree Home Invasion, and one count of Third-Degree Fleeing and Eluding.
He was arraigned Thursday afternoon 33rd District Court. Bond was set at $300,000 cash/surety on the condition he wear a GPS tether if he's released.
A Probable Cause Conference in the case is scheduled for July 26, followed by a Preliminary Examination set for Aug. 2.
