(WWJ) A Macomb County woman says it still doesn't feel real after she won a $2 million prize on a scratch-off lottery ticket.

The Michigan Lottery says the lucky 61-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought her winning "Magnificent 7s" ticket at the Sunoco gas station on the corner of Mound Rd. and 19 Mile Rd. in Sterling Heights.

She called the win "unbelievable and life-changing."

"I buy instant tickets often and like playing all of the different games," said the player. "When I scratched this ticket and saw I'd won $2 million, it wasn't clicking in my head that I really won. I just stared at the ticket in disbelief waiting for it to sink in, but it still doesn't feel real."

The player visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim the prize.

She chose to receive a one-time lump sum payment of about $1.2 million, rather than 30 annuity payments for the full amount.

"Winning $2 million is unbelievable and lifechanging," said the player. "I plan to save my winnings until I decided what I want to do with the money."

Lottery officials say players have won more than $68 million playing Magnificent 7s, which launched in Sept. 2022. Each $20 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $20 up to $2 million. More than $30 million in prizes remain, including one $2 million top prize and 19 $2,000 prizes.

In 2022, Lottery players won more than $1.7 billion playing instant games.

Michigan residents can buy lottery instant games at 10,500 retailers across the state.
