Livingston County man accused of recording women in store fitting rooms gets 6 months in jail

(WWJ) A Livingston County man accused of recording videos of multiple women in store fitting rooms will spend six months behind bars.

Joseph Busha, 33, pleaded no contest to capturing and distributing images of an unclothed person and one count of using a computer to commit a crime as part of a plea agreement with Livingston County prosecutors.


He could have been sentenced to up to 7 years in prison for his crimes.

One of the victims was a 15-year-old girl who spotted a cell phone under held under the changing room stall door while she was trying on clothes at Fowlerville Walmart back in January.

Busha was arrested after police said they found images of the teen on his phone.

At least two other similar incidents involving Busha were reported at American Eagle Outfitters and Old Navy stores at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Howell in 2018 and 2019, according to authorities.

After he serves his sentence in the in Livingston County Jail, Busha will be on a curfew and tether for six months and will have to register as a sex offender in Michigan.

Reports say Busha, of Conway Township, was a volunteer girls recreational softball coach in the Fowlerville area as recently as 2017.
