(WWJ) The former wife of superstar rapper and producer Eminem has taken a plea in a criminal case in Macomb County.

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office announced that 51-year-old Kimberley Anne Mathers, who goes by Kim, pleaded no contest on Monday to charges involving an impaired driving hit-and-run crash.

The crash happened early this year in Chesterfield Township, according to investigators.

On February 16, 2026, prosecutors said Mathers was allegedly driving a white Range Rover when she struck a parked silver Dodge Ram.

The force of the collision pushed the truck roughly 50 feet.

Investigators determined that Mathers was impaired at the time of the crash and failed to stop at the scene.

She was arraigned on May 11 in 42-2 District Court on two counts: Operating – Impaired, and Failure to Stop After Collision.

Both charges are misdemeanors, punishable by up to 93 and 90 days in jail respectively.

By pleading no contest immediately after her arraignment, Mathers accepts the conviction without a formal admission of guilt.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on June 17.

“Driving under the influence is not a lapse in judgment — it is a deliberate decision that puts every person on the road at risk," said Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido, in a statement.

"We see the consequences far too often: lives lost, families shattered, and communities changed forever. These tragedies are preventable. There is always another option—call a ride, designate a driver, make a plan. Choosing to drive impaired is choosing to endanger others, and we will continue to hold those who make that choice fully accountable."

Kim Mathers is best known as the former wife of Detroit-native rap legend Marshall Mathers (Eminem), who made their volatile relationship a focal point of his career.

She was the subject of several of some of Eminem's most famous and controversial tracks, from the violent imagery of "Kim" and "'97 Bonnie & Clyde," to the more remorseful "Bad Husband", and "Mockingbird."
