GROSSE POINTE WOODS (WWJ) -- An investigation is underway in Grosse Pointe Woods after police found two people dead inside a home on Sunday.
Police said both bodies — a man and a woman — were discovered at around 12:30 p.m. on June 29 while officers were doing a welfare check at the home on Brys Drive, near Mack Ave.
The Grosse Pointe Woods Police Department says there is not believed to be any threat to the public.
The Michigan Sate Police Forensic Unit and the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office are assisting local police with the ongoing investigation.
At this time, authorities are not saying how it's believe the people died.
No names were released.
