CLAWSON (WWJ) -- A young man has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing Clawson over Memorial Day weekend.

According to the Clawson Police Department the suspect, Michael Tazio Angellotti, was taken into custody a shot time after the alleged incident late Saturday night, at a home in the 100 block of E. Baker Avenue.

Officials arrived on the scene at around 11:20 p.m. to find a single victim suffering from "two large lacerations." He was treated at the scene, and then taken by ambulance at a local hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

Police spoke with witnesses and got a name and description of the suspect, who'd fled following the stabbing, along with a description of his vehicle.

The information was broadcast to area police departments, and — with help from a license reader camera system — the suspect was located in Troy.

Troy Police officers pulled Angellotti over at Crooks Rd. and Wattles, and he was arrested.

He has since been charged by the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office with one count of Assault with the Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm.

Angellotti was arraigned in 52-4 District Court on Tuesday, given a $125,000 bond, and transferred to the Oakland County Jail. He is due back in court for a probable cause conference on June 4.

Police did not release any details about the victim, including his age, and have not said what may have led to the stabbing.
