(WWJ) Police have made an arrest in a double homicide in Wayne County's Van Buren Township.
The bodies of 45-year-old Yachanda Snipes and her daughter, 14-year-old Dacara Leatherberry, were found by friends and family Sunday night, at the Belleville Pointe Apartment Complex on Lake Village Dr. near Belleville Rd.
Police said the victims had been stabbed to death.
On Wednesday, police announced that they had arrested a 47-year old man who was purportedly dating Snipes. The current parolee, who is on a tether, was picked up by officers Tuesday afternoon in Pontiac.
The suspect's name has not yet been released, with charges pending.
