DEARBORN (WWJ) - A 60-year-old man faces multiple felony charges after police say he fired several shots at a family event inside a Dearborn banquet hall over the weekend.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced charged against Haider Mohammed Al-Jebori, 60, of Dearborn Heights, including assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, discharge in or at a building, felonious assault, and four counts of felony firearm in the Oct. 13th incident.

According to the Dearborn Police Department, officers were called out to the scene around 7:14 p.m. on Friday after receiving reports of gunfire at a family event being held at Dearborn Manor Banquet off Oakman Blvd. just north of Michigan Ave.

When police arrived, they immediately arrested an individual who allegedly brought a firearm to the event and fired off the shots.

The Dearborn Police Department said no one was hurt and said a suspect -- later identified as Al-Jebori -- shot a firearm into the air inside the building following an "isolated incident between family members."

Al-Jebori was arrested and arraigned on Tuesday in 19th District Court where he was given a $500,000 cash bond.

A probable cause conference is scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24.
