A Detroit man is in critical condition after his car burst into flames near the Lodge Freeway.
Police say the 31-year-old man was driving at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday when he exited at Elmhurst and lost control of his SUV.
The vehicle flipped over and ignited into flames.
Detroit firefighters pulled the man from the conflagration and rushed him to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
