DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are at the scene of an alleged homicide after a man was found shot and killed inside a Detroit early Tuesday morning.
WWJ's Charlie Langton reported live from the scene on Sussex Street, near Southfield and Grand River, where a large police presence had gathered and yellow crime scene was put up around the home.
"Very sad situation over here. I just confirmed with Detroit police that a 41-year-old male is dead following a shooting... at about three o'clock this morning," Langton said.
While the circumstances that led up to the shooting are unclear at this time, it was reported earlier that the victim had been found shot in the head. That report remains unconfirmed with police.
Officials confirmed with Langton that no suspects are in custody.
"I am now seeing some people drive up here, possibly family members," Langton reported. "It doesn't look like it's a real good scene here."
No other details were released by police. The murder remains under investigation.
