HARRISON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) A man drowned at Lake St. Clair Metro Park in Harrison Township.
The Macomb County Sheriff's Office said their deputies were dispatched to Lake St. Clair Metro Park beach, at Metro Parkway and Train Road, on Saturday (8/3) around 5:30 p.m. The caller reported a swimmer, 57, went underwater while swimming with a friend.
His friend pulled him from the water and "life saving efforts were attempted", the sheriff's office said.
The man was later pronounced dead.
His name and city of residence have not been released.
The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
In Oakland County; four people have drowned in the past month, and 10 in 2024.
