A post on the Great Lakes Golden Retriever Rescue Facebook page earlier this week asked for tips about the dogs’ whereabouts after the trio of female golden retrievers were reported missing somewhere between Potterville -- west of Lansing -- and Carson City.

Annabelle, Lucy and Pinky were set to be transferred to the Golden Retriever Rescue of Michigan in Auburn Hills after their owners’ divorce, however, it was reported on Dec. 14 that the husband removed the dogs from the home and “dumped” them on an unknown road.

Sightings began to pour into the rescue's Facebook page, and dogs were reportedly spotted on Wright Road near I-96 west, and on Tallman Road, just south of Stone Road in the Fowler area.

On Wednesday, the Great Lakes Golden Retriever Rescue page released an update that the dogs had been safely recovered.

“The three Goldens have been FOUND and are safe!” they wrote. “Thank you to everyone who has provided tips, shared the post and positive thoughts. The GRRoM (and GLGRR) volunteers are thankful to you all!”
