(WWJ) - Bloomfield Township police have arrested a man for allegedly breaking into a home, claiming he was being chased by some creepy characters.
Keego Harbor resident Jacob Vore, 41, broke into the home, on Turtle Lake Drive, at 3 a.m. on Tuesday. Police say that he gained entry by breaking a basement window using a pry bar.
According to an article by WDIV, the homeowner, who was armed, heard the security alarm and got up to investigate. When he called out, Vore told him that he was being chased by spiders, angels and vampires.
The homeowner warned Vore he was armed as Vore came up the stairs. Vore told the man to shoot him. The homeowner fired a shot which missed Vore, prompting Vore to go back to the basement, police said.
Vore exited the home when police arrived and approached the rear of the residence, at which point he was arrested and taken to the Bloomfield Township Police Department.
Police reviewed security footage which showed Vore with a carving knife that was taken from the basement kitchen as he came up the stairs.
Jail records show Vore was charged on Thursday with a one-count felony warrant for home invasion in the first degree at the 48th District Court. He was given a $100,000 cash bond.
