
(WWJ) The horror started just one week before Halloween, when two women heard a knock on their door in the middle of the night; according to Detroit Police.
The women, 52 and 66, answered it.
A man in a clown mask forced his way into the home, assaulted the 52-year-old and snatched her wallet, police said. It happened just before 1:20 a.m. Saturday, on Seneca in the area of Coolidge and 696.
Police said the suspect fired a single shot, striking the 66-year-old. He then ran off into the night with the wallet.
The woman is in stable condition. The other victim did not need to be hospitalized.
The suspect is described as African American in his 30’s. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater and that clown mask.
