DETROIT (WWJ) -- A man is recovering after being hit by a vehicle on I-94 Tuesday night.
According to Michigan State Police, troopers stopped at 7:30 p.m. to check on a stranded motorist who would not talk them or roll down his window. The occupant of the car, which stopped on the westbound freeway at Moross, just gave the the troopers a thumbs up, police said.
A little over an hour later, at around 8:45 p.m., a passing driver hit the man as he was getting out of his vehicle on the freeway.
The driver involved told troopers that she started to slow down and move over to pass the stopped vehicle when she saw the man "jump out" of his car.
The man suffered only minor injuries, police said, and was alert and talking with troopers before he was taken by to a hospital for an evaluation
The driver involved was not hurt.
Other circumstances are still unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
