GRAND BLANC (WWJ) An e-bike crash in Genesee County left an 87-year-old man dead.
Grand Blanc Police said it happened on Friday, June 19, around 3 p.m. in the Wishing Well subdivision in the area of Maple and Saginaw roads.
Police said the Grand Blanc man attempted to turn left, but crashed into a northbound vehicle as it tried to pass his bike. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, and passed away a short time later.
His name was not released. The other driver was not injured.
Officers closed down the roadway for an investigation, but have since reopened it.
"Our prayers are with all involved and their families..." Grand Blanc Police said in a statement. "Let's please drive safe and share our roadways."
