Man killed in motorcycle crash on Detroit's east side, suspected drunk driver arrested

DETROIT (WWJ) A crash on Detroit's east side, involving a suspected drunk driver, killed a motorcyclist; police said.

Detroit Police said a woman in a Dodge Durango SUV struck the motorcycle around 11:25 p.m. on Saturday, September 13. It happened on Van Dyke at Robinwood near E. Seven Mile.

First responders rushed the motorcycle driver to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officers arrested the woman at the scene for operating while under the influence, according to police.

The victim's name and age were not released.
