A man walking down an east side Detroit street was shot and killed last night while in a separate incident two teens were struck by bullets that rained down into their living room.
In the homicide, police said the 49-year-old victim was walking at 8:40 p.m. in the 11000 block of Morang, when an unknown suspect approached him and shot him then ran north on Nottingham.
Medics responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. A K9 track was conducted but was unsuccessful. The suspect was described as a black male, 6'0, dark complexion and wearing black jeans. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.
That happened about an hour after two teen boys, 15 and 17 years old, were transported to the hospital when they were struck by bullets at home in the 19000 block of Rogge.
A round entered their living room window and struck both teens, police said. Both victims were transported to the local hospital for treatment. The 15 year was conveyed by police, the 17 was transported by medics. The 17-year old was listed in temporary serious condition and his brother was listed in stable condition.
The suspect who committed this crime is unknown at this time. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.
