TAYLOR (WWJ) -- A Downriver man is dead after being shot by his own brother.
Taylor Police are investigating what they say was a domestic incident Monday afternoon, at a home on Cass Avenue near Pardee.
According to a report by WXYZ-TV, officers were called to the home because a man and his girlfriend were fighting. The man's brother and sister, who live nearby, tried to stop the fighting, when the man pulled out a gun and shot both of his siblings.
The man died and the woman was taken to a hospital where she was last reported to be in critical condition. Both are said to be in their 60s.
The suspect, a Taylor man, has been taken into custody. His name was not immediately released.
More information is expected to be released by police later Tuesday.
