Man shot and killed in Redford Twp. domestic violence incident, suspect in custody

REDFORD TWP. (WWJ) — A man has been shot and killed in what police are calling a domestic violence incident in Redford Township early Monday morning.

Police were called to a home on Delaware Avenue — near Five Mile and Beech Daly Roads — just before 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 4.

Responding officers found a man in his 30s shot to death inside the home. Fire department personnel treated the man at the scene and rushed him to Corewell Health Hospital in Farmington Hills, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

The suspect remained at the scene and was arrested, according to police.

Authorities did not release any information about the suspect and have not said what happened in the moments leading up to the alleged shooting, only that it was a domestic violence incident.

Officials say the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the shooting.
