MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) - A 60-year-old Mount Clemens man was charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed his neighbor with a pocket knife during an argument on Friday.
According to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called out to the 100 block of Cass Ave. near Cherry Street just before 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 after a man claimed to have been stabbed by his neighbor during a heated argument at their apartment comlex.
Deputies said the victim, identified as a 53-year-old man, walked up to the suspect, 60-year-old Mark Wallace of Mount Clemens, who was using a grill at the apartment complex common area and they two began to argue.
As reported by WDIV, video of the alleged altercation shows the victim appearing to knock over the grill Wallace was using and Wallace retaliated by slashing the man's moped tires with a pocket knife.
Deputies claim Wallace then stabbed the victim twice.
The sheriff's office said they recovered a pocketknife from Wallace's apartment. He was arrested him at the scene and lodged at the Macomb County Jail.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Wallace was arranged on charges of assault with intent to murder and malicious destruction of property. A judge ordered him a $50,000, no 10% cash/surety bond.
