
DEARBORN HEIGHTS (WWJ) -- Police are asking for the public's help as they search for a gunman who robbed a bank in Dearborn Heights on Wednesday.
At around 1 p.m. on Sept. 4, the Dearborn Police Department says the masked suspect walked into the Flagstar Bank branch at Ford Road and John Daily, "brandishing a weapon."
The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash, left the building, got into a maroon-colored Ford, and fled eastbound on Ford Road, police said.
No shots were fired, and no customers or employees in the bank was hurt.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 6’ to 6’3” tall and weighing around 160 to 170 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt with dancing skeletons on it, dark blue pants and dark-colored Adidas-style shoes.
