Merriman Road shutdown in both directions as Romulus police investigate pedestrian crash

WAYNE COUNTY (WWJ) - A major road in Wayne County remains closed Thursday morning as police look into the circumstances surrounding a pedestrian crash.
Little details about the incident were released, but the Romulus Police Department confirmed Merriman Road just north of I-94 is closed to traffic in both directions as of 8 a.m.
The department stated the investigation could take a couple of hours, with drivers urged to seek alternative routes.
The condition of the pedestrian remains unknown.
Officials are expected to provide an update as information becomes available.
