BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (WWJ) -- A Benton Harbor man is facing drug and gun charges after a raid at a home and some storage units by a law enforcement task force and federal agents.

The Michigan State Police Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET), along with Benton Harbor police, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and troopers from the MSP Niles post on Wednesday executed three search warrants in connection with a narcotics investigation.

One warrant was served at a residence on Thurgood Ave. in the city of Benton Harbor, police said, and two others were served at adjacent storage units in Benton Township.

During the searches, SWET said officers seized around seven ounces of crystal methamphetamine, around 100 grams of fentanyl, two pistols, a rifle, ammunition, and a Glock micro conversion kit.

"Evidence of drug distribution was also observed and seized," SWET said in a media release.

One suspect, a 40-year-old man who was in the home when police arrived, was arrested.

He faces multiple charges, including felon in possession of a firearm, firearm used in the commission of a felony, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and methamphetamine, and maintaining a drug premise charges.

The man's name was not immediately released, pending an arraignment.
