Ozzy Osbourne tribute band from metro Detroit competing for $25K on TV show

(WWJ) – A local Ozzy Osbourne tribute band has a “Shot in the Dark” to win $25,000 on a reality TV show Wednesday night.

The metro Detroit-based “Crazy Babies Ozzy Rebourne” are competing on “Clash of the Cover Bands,” a show on the entertainment network E!

The grand prize is $25K and an appearance on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The band was flown to Los Angeles after producers saw a video of the cover band online. The show is hosted by Stephen “tWitch” Boss and judged by Adam Lambert, Meghan Trainor and Ester Dean. Each episode features cover and tribute bands from around the country competing head-to-head.

WWJ’s Erin Vee got to talk with the band ahead of their big performance.

The band's front man, Michael "Boyd" Quinton can't reveal exactly what happens or even who they competed against, but says it was an amazing time.

The band is set to compete at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday on E!
