(WWJ) -- It’s time to get your holiday plans in order!
If you’re hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year, or just looking for an alternative option, several restaurants will be open across metro Detroit to make it easier to enjoy a hearty spread.
Andiamo’s executive chef James Oppat says the restaurant chain has been offering ready-made meals for years, but the service really took off after the pandemic.
“I think people are really starting to value their time,” Oppat said. “When we took away the ability to see family and loved ones, and we weren’t going to other people’s homes and celebrating as much, I think that really resonated with people now. We’re starting to value our time that we have together and putting more of a focus on that, as opposed to having to spend your time away from them in the kitchen preparing all the food.”
Andiamo’s chef-prepared meals will include a turkey that’s prepped and ready to roast, as well as several handmade sides and dessert. Orders can be placed online, and will be ready for pickup the day before Thanksgiving.
Other local restaurants offering carry-out options on Turkey Day include Bunny Bunny in Eastern Market, Chive Kitchen in Farmington, Farm Field Table in Ferndale and Grosse Point Park, Frame in Hazel Park, Hazel in Birmginham, Oak & Reel in Detroit, Marrow in Detroit, and Stage Deli in West Bloomfield.
