Spotty snow showers -- especially south of Detroit -- are expected overnight and into Sunday morning with a low of 19. Total accumulations are estimated to range between a light coating to an inch of snow.
Benz does advise motorists to watch out for slick patches on bridges, side streets and highways Sunday morning.
Sunday afternoon will remain mostly cloudy with temperatures reaching around 25.
The area's best chance of snow comes Monday, where Benz estimates snow showers to bring between one and three inches of snow -- temperatures will reach around 31.
The snow showers will move out by Tuesday and skies will be partly to mostly sunny. Cooler air will move in and Metro Detroit will see temperatures top out at 22.
Benz said temperatures will continue to plummet. Wednesday will be sunny, but frigid -- highs will only reach 19.
