(WWJ) Who walked into a brewery in Northern Michigan, and just helped themselves to pop and beer?
The owners of Soo Brewing Company in Sault Ste. Marie are asking for help from the public to identify some unwelcome patrons who were caught on camera over the weekend.
What the owners are calling "a very unfortunate incident" occurred Saturday at about 4 or 4:30 p.m.
According to post on the company's Facebook page, several people "without regard to common decency" entered "clearly closed" business -- with the lights off and no employees around -- and began helping themselves to beer and pop, also allegedly rummaging through the gear closet.
"Frankly, it makes me sick," the owner wrote. "The worst part was that, after hanging out there for awhile having a few beers, they invited kids in on their illegal activities. What a role model, right?! If anybody can help identify these people, I would appreciate it. I've got a few choice words. Clarification, though, I think the kids only had pop. I don't believe they were consuming alcohol, but still....!"
It's unclear if the door was simply unlocked, or how the people got inside the business. An owner said they have moved to a new location, and we're going back and forth moving furniture over the weekend. They noted that all the taps had been disconnected except for one.
Anyone with information can call Soo Brewing at 906-632-4400 or send them a message on Facebook.
