(AAA/WWJ) -- The cost of gas is down in Michigan - at least a little since hitting an all-time high for 2021 last week.
AAA is reporting a four cent-drop statewide, but only a one cent-drop for drivers in metro-Detroit who are paying an average of $3.28 per gallon for regular gas.
Even with the drop, prices are still 12 cents higher than they were last month, with a full tank costing about $48 on average.
"The drop in crude prices early last week helped pump prices stabilize," said AAA spokesperson Adrienne Woodland. "With crude returning to above $70 per barrel, drivers can expect gas prices to remain above $3 per gallon throughout the summer."
Right now, the most expensive gas is in Marquette, followed by Detroit and Ann Arbor, while the least expensive gas is in Benton Harbor at $3.10 per gallon.
-Most expensive gas price averages: Marquette ($3.29), Metro Detroit ($3.28), Ann Arbor ($3.25)
-Least expensive gas price averages: Benton Harbor ($3.10), Traverse City ($3.15), Grand Rapids ($3.20)
