MARSHALL, Mich. (WWJ) – Michigan State Police are searching for “Big Foot.”
Well, sort of. MSP officials say they’re investigating the theft of a 7-foot-tall sasquatch lawn ornament in St. Joseph County’s Park Township.
The sasquatch was reported stolen some time around March 22 and MSP began investigating on March 31, according to a report from WWMT.
Authorities say the sheet metal sasquatch is a rusty brown color and has various sharp edges to detail the fur of the sasquatch.
Officials say it appears the decoration was cut away from a steel post with a pair of bolt cutters or a similar tool.
Neighbors in the area of the property, on West End Road near Heimbach Road, told authorities they had seen a white panel van with dark windows parked in the area on March 22.

That van was then seen turning around in the victim’s driveway and leaving the area.
Authorities are asking anyone who has seen Big Foot to contact the MSP Marshall Post at 269-558-0500.
