(WWJ) -- There are some lead foots on M-14 between Plymouth Township and Ann Arbor.

Michigan State Police was conducting traffic safety patrols on Monday when they stopped drivers going 120 and 102 miles per hour.

“And as we finally catch up from vacation mode, some things never change,” MSP wrote on Twitter.

The traffic patrols have been taking place across metro Detroit this summer in hopes of getting drivers to slow down.

In 2020, there were 200 speed-related fatalities on Michigan roadways compared to 185 in 2019.
