
FRENCHTOWN TWP. (WWJ) – Authorities have ruled the death of a Monroe County mother’s death a murder.
Michigan State Police troopers found Kayla Sedoskey’s body inside the former Boysville Juvenile Detention Center on Comboni Way in Frenchtown Township last Thursday into Friday morning.
Police confirmed Tuesday the cause of death was homicide, according to a report from Fox 2. Her body was reportedly wrapped in a tarp and had tape over her mouth, according to the report.
Authorities said last week Sedoskey’s body was found by someone who was exploring in the vacant building.
Officials have not disclosed the manner of Sedoskey’s death and are still investigating. A possible motive in the case has not been released.
Authorities have reportedly identified multiple persons of interest in the case, which is still under investigation.
