CLAWSON (WWJ) -- Expect to see a larger police presence around an Oakland County high school on Thursday following an incident that left many students and staff feeling unsafe.
This heightened security is in response to police being called to investigate a suspicious Clawson High School student around the building Wednesday night.
Clawson Police Department said in a Facebook post that someone overheard the student talking loudly to himself and punching a fence. The juvenile was also reportedly making threats about the school.
While talking to the juvenile, officers determined that the student was in crisis and was taken to seek medical attention.
The juvenile is now being held at Children's Village while officials continue their investigation, police said.
Officials said that the school district, parents and community members will be advised if there are any safety concerns for students or staff.
