(WWJ) – After an ice storm and a strong dose of heavy, wet snow in the span of 10 days, inclement weather is headed for Detroit on Monday.

But it won't be anywhere near as strong or impactful as the previous storms, according to AccuWeather meteorologist John Feerick.

After temperatures approach 50 degrees on Sunday, Feerick says overnight temperatures will drop to near freezing, with "some snow, sleet and rain coming in toward daybreak."

While that wintry mix will stick around for most of the morning, Feerick says there will be "little to no accumulation in Metro Detroit." But there could be 1-3 inches of snow north of I-69.

"Most places probably go over to plain rain for the afternoon. Well to the north, it could still be mixed with snow," Feerick said.

As for the rest of the week, AccuWeather is forecasting a dry one, with temperatures at or slightly below 40, before a slight chance of weekend snow.

In the aftermath of Friday's snow storm, nearly 60,000 DTE Energy customers across Southeast Michigan were still without power.
