EASTPOINTE (WWJ) -- Eerie details have come to the surface in the case of the missing Macomb County teen, Zion Foster, who was last seen in early January.
The 17-year-old's mother, Lanese Milton, posted a revealing note on Facebook Wednesday night, saying there's been a confession about what happened in her daughter's disappearance.
The post states that Foster's cousin, Jaylin Brazier, confessed to putting the Eastpointe teen's body in a trunk and then dumping her body in a dumpster after she died.
Sources said that neighbors saw Brazier and his girlfriend carrying a rolled-up rug and putting it into a dumpster.
"He took my baby from me," wrote Milton on Facebook.
Brazier, who was named as a person of interest in the case has been charged with lying to police in Macomb County.
Detectives from Detroit and Eastpointe as well as FBI agents have been investigating Foster's disappearance since she went missing.
No charges against Brazier, or anyone else, have yet been filed.
Police the released the following statement Thursday afternoon:
"The Detroit Police Department continues to investigate the missing case of Zion Foster. We are working with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies around the clock.
"The investigation is still active and we urge anyone with information to please come forward.
"We’ve resubmitted a warrant package to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for multiple charges against Jaylin Brazier. We have no further details to release at this time."
Foster was last seen by her mother getting into Brazier's car on Jan. 4.
