GROVELAND TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A motor trooper is recovering after their motorcycle crashed into the back of vehicle waiting to turn in Oakland County on Friday.
Michigan State Police said a trooper on a motorcycle was heading northbound on Dixie Highway in Groveland Township just before 5:30 p.m. when they rear-ended a stopped vehicle near Perryville Road.
The trooper said they did not see the vehicle, which was stopped in the left lane to make a westbound turn.
The driver of the vehicle said she had her turn signal on and did not notice the trooper until they come up to her vehicle to ask if she was OK.
The driver was uninjured, but the trooper was transported to a local hospital with a possible broken hand and foot.
MSP said they are investigating into the crash and no other details were released.
