(WWJ) — Michigan State Police officials say authorities have found a little girl who had been reported missing in the Lansing area and was "considered to be endangered."
Authorities had been asking the public to be on the lookout for a Clinton County man and woman in a white pickup truck who were believed to be on the run with their child.
MSP officials on Thursday shared a photo of the white pickup truck with a loaded bed and wooden boards across the back, asking for anyone who saw it to call police.
MSP officials said officials with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department were ordered to remove a 4-year-old girl from the custody of her parents, as she was “considered to be endangered.”
Authorities believe the parents were “somehow made aware of the pending removal of the child” and fled with their daughter.
In an update Thursday afternoon, MSP officials said the girl was found with her parents in Lansing and is unharmed. She was turned over to authorities.
MSP officials also did not release any details as to why the child is considered to be endangered and did not say what, if any, charges her parents will face.
The parents' names and ages have not been released.
