SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) -- Michigan State Police investigated a freeway shooting after a woman says her car was stuck in the midst of a road rage incident -- but nothing was found to back up her claims.
Officials say the incident happened on Tuesday around 8:30 p.m. along I-696 eastbound near M-10 in Southfield.
The woman called police and said she was in-between two vehicles involved in a road rage incident. She said the driver of a Dodge Charger was shooting at a SUV when a stray bullet hit her windshield.
However, troopers said they couldn't find any bullet holes on her vehicle or windshield.
MSP closed the freeway to attempt to locate a scene and nothing was found. No evidence or other victims from the incident were located.
The woman didn't want to pursue any charges nor cooperate with the investigation, said police.
