(WWJ) A popular scenic trail is closed at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
In news release Tuesday, the National Park Service said the Munising Falls Trail is closed until further notice after rain and melting snow washed away about 75 feet of the paved trail on Monday, April 28.
As a result, there's no safe path to view Munising Falls.
Park officials say travel in the area is strictly prohibited until further notice, because of safety concerns for visitors and the need to protect Michigan's sensitive natural resources.
NPS provided the following map of the closure area:

There's no word on when repairs will be made.
