Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!: NAACP holding career expo in Detroit Thursday, featuring Rocket Companies, DPD and more

DETROIT (WWJ) – The first events of the NAACP’s Fight For Freedom Fund weekend in Detroit get underway Thursday morning, with the “Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!” career expo.

The job fair runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fellowship Chapel on Outer Drive, just east of the Southfield Freeway.

The expo will feature job readiness clinics and workshops, including a resume review, personal brand building, interview tips and techniques, and using social media as a tool.

There will be several employers on-hand, including:

• Americorp
• Detroit At-Work
• Detroit Job Corp Center
• Detroit Police Department
• Detroit Public Library
• Federal Bureau of Investigation
• Fifth Third
• McDonald's
• Rocket Companies
• Roush
• Walker-Miller Energy Services
• Wayne County Sheriff's Office
• Wolverine Human Services

The event is free to attend and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to pre-register online by visiting detroitnaacp.org or calling (313) 664-2433.
