(WWJ) - Pizza lovers rejoice! National Pizza Day -- which falls on Feb. 9 -- celebrates one of America's all-time favorite foods with day-long deals, recipe-sharing and of course, chowing down on slices of this beloved tomato pie.
Pizza locations across the Metro Detroit area are honoring this special day with discounts for customers who visit their shops this Wednesday. Here's your guide to the best freebies and discounts in town.
Buddy’s Pizza is kicked off National Pizza Day on Feb. 7, with $4 off a half-baked pizza anytime before 4 p.m. The deal runs through Thursday Feb. 10. Pizza lovers can use code ‘BOGO8′ to buy one eight-square pepperoni pizza and get another for 50% off, valid until March 31, online or in-store.

Metro Detroiters can also find local deals at Jet's Pizza, where customers can typically get a large three topping pizza for $14.99. Jet's is currently offering 20% off an order when you use the shop's text-to-order feature.
Chuck E. Cheese is giving away one free pizza with another pizza purchase for rewards members -- the deal is available for delivery or pickup. The kid-friendly chain is also offering 10% off any games package with the purchase of any food and beverage combo.
National pizza chain, Domino’s, is giving $3 off an online pickup order. The offer is available now through May 22. Combos will run you $8 for three-topping pizzas and Dips & Twists. The chain's Mix & Match Deal will get you and two or more items on its Mix & Match menu for $5.99, including some sticks and medium pizzas options.
Pizza lovers can score a Papa John’s a one-topping, New York-style pizza starting at $13, or a stuffed-crust pizza at $15.
To round our list off, Pizza Hut is offering their Big Dinner Box for $21.99. The deal comes with two medium one-topping pizzas, five breadsticks and your choice of pasta or wings. If you're not a fan of the sides, you can swap them out for another medium pizza.
