DETROIT (WWJ) - There's a new digital pass that rewards users with prizes for buying the amazing pizza Detroit has to offer.
Visit Detroit has released the digital Detroit Pizza Pass. The goal is to help residents and visitors get the most out of Detroit's pizzarias.
"Detroit's pizza heritage is unlike any other, and the Detroit Pizza Pass lets visitors savor it all. It's a celebration of our city's culinary creativity, and we can't wait to take people on this delicious journey," Claude Molinari, President and CEO of Visit Detroit, said.
Users don't need to download an app to be able to access the pass. Bookmarking the pass on their browsers after signing up is all that is needed to be able to participate.
Checking in at participating restaurants earns users points that can be redeemed for prizes like stickers, shirts and Detroit pizza hats through the rewards store.
According to Visit Detroit's website, participating restaurants cover everything from "spots serving authentic Detroit-style pizza in the heart of the city to unique flavor fusions and classic hand-tossed pies from all across the metro area."
People interested can sign up for the Detroit Pizza Pass along with the Detroit Brew Trail and the Explore Detroit Pass at https://visitdetroit.com/digitalpasses/
