DETROIT (WWJ) -- Administrators at a Detroit high school are working to assure parents there is no active threat after a bullet flies through a window Monday morning.

According to Detroit Police, the incident happened at around 7 a.m. Monday at Loyola High School, located on Pinehurst near Fenkell Ave. on the city's west side.

Police said around 40 students were inside the new chapel on the north side of the building when a bullet came in through a window.

Fortunately, no students were injured.

There have been no arrests, and it's unclear who fired the shot.

At this time, police said there are no credible threats to the school or students, but the situation remains under investigation.

Later in the morning, officers were canvassing the area, knocking on doors and trying to get their hands on video footage to help with their investigation.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the 12th Pct at 313-596-1240 or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

This incident comes just days after the school's new chapel and other updates were unveiled to the media following a multi-million dollar upgrade to the campus.
