WIXOM (WWJ) - An alleged 'Peeping Tom' has been charged following an incident last month where police say he was seen looking through windows of a child's bedroom in Wixom.
Michael Kenneth Nordstrom, 54, of Northville was arraigned on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly person – window peeper, and a felony charge of resisting and obstructing a police officer for the incident reported on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Wixom police said in a press release that they were called out to the Meadowood Park Apartments off Grand River and Napier Road around 10:30 p.m. on reports of people seeing a suspicious man looking into windows.
A resident told police she saw the alleged peeper looking into her child's bedroom window. When the suspect saw he was being observed, he fled the scene.
The mother was able to provide a description of the suspect and police were able to locate the man. Police said the suspect fled yet again into nearby subdivision where officers lost track of him.
The Novi Police Department's K-9 unit was called in to help track the suspect down and after a short search, the man was taken into police custody.
Nordstrom was taken to the Oakland County Jail after his arraignment where he awaits his next court date.
