
WHITE LAKE TWP. (WWJ) — Police are investigating what caused a crash that killed a Metro Detroit teenager early Monday morning.
A 19-year-old Commerce Township man was killed in the crash around 4:30 a.m. in White Lake Township, according to a report from WDIV.
Police were called to the area of Cooley Lake Road and Long Lane after getting reports of a single-vehicle rollover crash.
When first responders showed up they found the teen’s SUV had hit two cement pillars before slamming into a tree, according to the report. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is not clear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. Other circumstances surrounding the crash have not been released.
The teen’s name has not been released.
