TROY (WWJ) -- Oakland Mall in Troy is preparing to reopen following flooding earlier in the week due to a burst pipe.

The mall has been closed since Wednesday afternoon when the flooding was first discovered. Several of the main concourses filled with water, prompting the mall to be evacuated as well as the multi-day closure.

The mall will reopen Saturday, July 19, at 11 a.m., officials said.

However, there is still cleanup to do. The update from Oakland Mall officials says a portion of the east wing will be blocked off to shoppers. Any store or restaurant with an outdoor entrance will be open.

In total, about 20 businesses have been impacted.

A spokesperson for the mall said Friday that some of those stores may need to relocate, depending on the extent of the damage.
