GRAND RAPIDS (WWJ) A suspected stolen car crashed in Grand Rapids, killing one person and leading to the arrest of two others.
State Police said troopers from the Grand Rapids Post responded to the scene around 4 a.m. Saturday in the area of E/B I-96 near Fruitridge.
Early investigation suggested a trooper tried to stop a car, believed to have been stolen. The driver did not stop and lost control while trying to navigate the S/B 131 exit, State Police said.
One occupant was thrown from the car and pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers arrested two other people inside the vehicle.
No officers were injured.
Police have not yet identified the deceased or the other people involved.
State Police said more information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
