
DETROIT (WWJ) -- Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a deadly fire on Detroit's west side early Monday morning.
Firefighters were called to the area of Wyoming and Aurora around 1:30 a.m. on May 5 and found the two-story home fully engulfed in flames.
Crews were able to knock down most of the fire. While doing a primary search of the home they found a person dead in the attic.
Officials believe it was a woman, but were not immediately able to identify the victim.
Authorities don't know whether the home was occupied or vacant, as the home was completely engulfed.
The cause remains under investigation.
