ROMULUS (WWJ) Two suspects remain on the run following a shooting at the Marriott Detroit Metro Airport, according to reports.

As reported by FOX 2, Romulus Police said they received multiple calls of a shooting at the Marriott hotel on Flynn near Merriman and I-94 around 4 p.m. Saturday.

Police said two Delaware men arranged a meeting at the hotel to buy a large number of cellphones from private sellers. Inside a room, both sellers pulled out guns in "an apparent robbery attempt" and opened fire, according to reports.

The buyers tried to disarm the suspects, and successfully pulled the gun away from one of them. One of the buyers was shot in the arm. They both ran to the lobby for help. The gunshot victim collapsed. He was given medical aid until first responders arrived, police told FOX 2.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he's listed in critical condition.

The suspects fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call Romulus Police at (734) 941-8400.
