Police say speed behind wreck that killed passenger, critically injured driver in Grosse Pointe Farms

Police are blaming speed on a wreck that killed one passenger and hospitalized a driver in Grosse Pointe Farms on Friday night.

WAYNE COUNTY (WWJ) - Police are blaming speed on a wreck that killed one passenger and hospitalized a driver in Grosse Pointe Farms on Friday night.

The Grosse Pointe Farms Department of Public Safety said the fatal crash involved one vehicle as it traveled on Ridge Road near Moran around 9 p.m. on Nov. 17.

The wreck killed a passenger and the driver was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. The identifies of the two individuals were not released.

At this time, police believe speed was the cause for the wreck, but an investigation remains underway.
